The Florida Society offers a wide variety of activities throughout the year for members and the public. Our activities honor the legacy of the American Revolution while promoting patriotism and community engagement.
Youth Contests
Eight contests are open to students and teachers each year, from a poster competition for third graders to essay and oration awards of $1,000 for high school students, and recognition for Eagle Scouts, JROTC cadets and American history teachers.
Every entry goes through a local chapter, and chapter deadlines fall earlier than the state ones — the Knight Essay closes on 31 December, so it is worth looking early.
